“Valoi” is a Finnish word meaning light and creation — a nod to the creativity of analog photography. The Scandinavian roots of VALOI are visible in the minimalist and functional design. VALOI 360 is a film holder system that is an affordable way to digitize your rolls of 35mm and 120 medium format film using a digital camera, without compromising on features. This system will help you scan film quicker and, with the right setup, with higher quality than traditional flatbed scanners.

The heart of the modular, expandable VALOI 360 ecosystem, the Advancer's rubber rollers and knurled film advance knobs allow users to quickly and precisely transport the film through the VALOI 35mm and 120 film holders rather than pulling the film through manually with one's hands, for more efficient digital camera scanning. While best used with uncut rolls of film, it can also be used with strips down to 3 frames long. The Advancer also raises the film off of the light source for more even illumination. Adjustable leveling feet ensure that your film is held completely level with your camera for sharp scans.

Flat negatives are key to sharp scans. The Valoi 360 35mm and 120 Film Holders feature a precision-engineered track with a double S-curve that keeps the film exceptionally flat. A matte surface and built-in internal angles keep prevent reflections that can cause artifacting. The holders slot into the Advancer and only require the user to adjust the rubber O-rings when switching formats.
